The 9th World Petroleum & Natural Gas Equipment Expo was held in Xi'an.

The 9th World Oil & Gas Equipment Expo (WOGE2024), focusing on the export of petrochemical equipment, grandly opened at the Xi'an International Convention and Exhibition Center. Deputy Director Zhang Wenzheng from the Provincial Department of Commerce attended the opening ceremony and delivered a speech.

The World Oil & Gas Equipment Expo serves as a high-end international platform for showcasing achievements, exchanging technology, and promoting cooperation within the global oil and gas equipment industry. It has been successfully held in various countries and regions, including Oman, Russia, Iran, Karamay and Hainan in China, and Kazakhstan, over eight editions. To further leverage the exhibition platform to boost industry development, adhering to the principles of "internationalization, specialization, and marketization," efforts have been made to host the expo in Xi'an for the first time this year and it will permanently settle in Xi'an, Shaanxi. The expo is organized by the China Chamber of International Commerce Xi'an Chamber of Commerce and the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce Petroleum Industry Chamber of Commerce, and will be held annually.

This expo showcased the latest technologies, products, and solutions in the petroleum and natural gas equipment manufacturing industry, covering more than a thousand products across 12 major categories including oil equipment, refining equipment, security equipment, pump valve pipelines, instruments, meters, new materials, etc. More than 430 overseas purchasers from 26 major oil-producing countries and over 2000 domestic and international professional visitors gathered to exchange information, share experiences, and discuss technologies. Among the exhibitors from Xi'an were 30 benchmark enterprises including Yanchang Petroleum Equipment, Baoji Titanium Industry, XiTe Cable, Woda Power Equipment, Xi'an Petroleum University Oil & Gas Technology, Zizhao Equipment, and others. In conjunction with the expo, the "3rd World Petroleum & Natural Gas Conference" and the "9th World Petrochemical Equipment Procurement Conference" were held, covering topics such as the latest news and developments in the global oil and gas industry, industrial development planning, upstream and downstream technological innovation, research results transformation, and energy sector cooperation between China and other countries.

The two concurrent major events—the "3rd World Petroleum and Natural Gas Conference" and the "9th World Petrochemical Equipment Procurement Congress"—were highlights of this exhibition. The "World Petroleum and Natural Gas Conference" is a high-end forum and conference event that brings together industry leaders from the oil and gas energy sectors of important oil countries (cities). It consists of the "Oil Ministers' Session," "Oil Company CEOs' Session," and "Mexico Oil Session." Key energy industry guests such as the Energy Minister of Myanmar, CEO of Malaysian Petroleum Resources Corporation, Energy Minister of the Government of Tamaulipas, Mexico, CEO of PROYECTA Industrial Company, Executive Director of the International Society of Petroleum Engineers, and Dean of the Petroleum Engineering College at Xi'an Shiyou University delivered keynote speeches at the conference. The topics covered included the latest information on the global oil and gas industry, development dynamics, industrial development planning, upstream and downstream technological innovation, research results transformation, and cooperation in the energy field between China and foreign countries.

At the "World Petrochemical Equipment Procurement Congress," dozens of domestic and foreign powerful purchasers such as Iran's DANA Energy Company, South Korea's Hyundai Engineering & Construction Company, Serbia's NIS Group, Mexico's Oil and Natural Gas Union, and UAE's PETROGLOBE showcased detailed product procurement catalogs and purchasing needs at their dedicated procurement docking stations, achieving precise and efficient connections with suppliers.

Technology empowers green development. The World Petroleum & Natural Gas Equipment Expo will always adhere to its original intention of "making global petrochemical equipment business simpler," and fully build an international exchange platform for win-win cooperation with global oil and natural gas industry partners.
